The second trailer of the Matt Reeves “The Batman” is giving us more hints than we may have imagined. We have to admit that it is a treat to the fans that they can speculate things based on the clues the trailer drops.
The speculations start off with the Japanese trailer providing us with unseen footage. This footage speculates our beloved villain “The Joker”.
Bruce Wayne is seen obsessed in this trailer with the truth and can go to any length to achieve what he wants. His recent target is the Riddler who is before Batman and is providing riddles to the Batman to make him understand some dark truth behind the Gotham City.
“I am here to unmask the truth about this city” says the Riddler which is because of the immense corruption in the justice system of the Gotham City which births the villains such as The Riddler and the Joker.
What gets the fans fired up is the close up shot of the Riddler’s notice board full of clippings of Bruce Wayne which suggests that the villain knows about who is the Real Batman.
One detail to note is that in the comics “The Riddler” didn’t knew who the Batman is. He is behind the Wayne family because he knows their secret so he is after Bruce Wayne but he is not aware that in fact he is chasing the Batman.
The Riddler’s notice board got the fans hyped up because zooming into the images of Bruce Wayne we can see a huge grin which imitates the grin of the Joker.

Now, to clarify this Joker or any other Joker that we will be watching will be different than the Joaquin Phoenix's Joker. So it can be the case that the new Joker is the Barry Keoghan’s Joker.
Fans recognized the Joker’s iconic devious laugh at the end of the Japanese “The Batman” trailer which solidifies the theory.
Whatever the case may be, we think that as the movie is going to introduce a lot of characters from the Batman universe it is not far from the imagination that Joker can be introduced here.
What we can speculate is that a possible teaser can be given at the end of the movie which will setup the new arc for the next Robert Pattinson’s Batman movie.
