Is The Batman a Comeback for DC?

So the trailer of The Batman just dropped and don't say that you haven't watched it because if you heaven't then you should.

The Batman promises so much from this trailer that we will be left speculating what will be happening till the release of the movie and this may seem like a comeback for DC after the continous success for Marvel in their Cinematic Universe.

The Batman however isn't much focussed on connecting the dots for a cinematic universe but doesn't shy away from introducing numerous characters and connecting them with the Batman. The opposite of Batman in this movie is The Riddler and we can't be very sure but we are sure that he is the man behind all of this.

However, the trailer gives out nothing in terms of story and it is still left for speculations. There are numerous characters that the Batman is fighting here and that doesn't really qualify for a connected Cinematic Universe.

Keeping the idea of Cinematic Universe aside Bruce Wayne has been shown like never before. We haven't seen this dark side of the Batman. The Batman we saw in all the movies seems glorified because of how easily he handles everything on his own and without much consequence but here the scars of Bruce Wayne are focussed upon which tells us that in just 2 years of protecting the Gotham the glory is gone.

What's left is the Anger, The Vengeance.

The highly anticipated dialogue- " I am The Batman" is not there because it is replaced with " I am the Vengeance" which makes more sense and adds much more depth to the persona of Bruce Wayne which is shown here.

So what I can tell from the trailer till now is that we are going to witness something extra ordinally new which has never been showcased in the live action ever before with a Batman movie.

The Rage of Batman is real this time and this is much more than just a comeback.
